Ward Clerk Jobs
Ward Clerks work in hospital wards and have a lot of patient interaction, handling patient’s files and results and some data entry into hospital systems. Supervised by a register nurse, they will liase with patients, Consultants, Doctors and Nurses and deal with highly confidential information. Ward Clerk jobs do not require any specific training, however volunteering or part-time work is beneficial, along with strong clerical and customer service skills.
Porter Jobs
Porters play a vital role and are responsible for transferring patients from one ward to another, liasing with all patients, consultants and nurses. Organisations include private hospitals and companies and the NHS. Porter jobs require a good knowledge of the hospital regulations and all relevant departments. Candidates are often required to pass a medical examination and a fitness test. Due to the nature of these roles, the majority or porter jobs are subject to CRB checks.
