Responsibilities & Duties for Finance Manager Roles
Finance Manager jobs may vary in responsibilities across different charities and not for profit organisations. In most cases they are responsible for the full finance function, budgeting, cash flow, compliance, preparation for audits. The role involves staff management and overseeing the work of the whole finance team.
Skills Required for Finance Manager Jobs
Organisations generally expect Finance Managers to be fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA) although occasionally consider managers to be qualified by experience (QBE). There is scope to progress to more senior strategic positions within the finance team, such as Financial Controller or Head of Finance, but in smaller organisations the role of Finance Manager could be the most senior finance post, reporting into the CEO.
