Medical Secretary Jobs
With an excellent track record, TPP Healthcare is experienced at placing professional and knowledgeable Medical Secretaries and PAs into various healthcare organisations.
Responsibilities & duties for a Medical Secretary or Medical PA
A Medical Secretary or PA supports the Consultants or Doctors directly, providing them with the assistance they require on a daily basis.
Medical Secretaries are usually responsible for audio typing correspondence, dealing with patient queries, fielding calls for the Consultant/Doctor, dealing with post and within a private setting may include taking payments and dealing with invoicing. Medical PA duties may differ slightly and be more involved in diary management, the Consultant/Doctors outside interests, scheduling meetings and travel arrangements.
Skills required for a Medical Secretary or Medical PA
Medical Secretaries or Medical PAs need to have fast accurate audio and copy typing, strong knowledge of medical terminology over a range of disciplines and experience of working within a healthcare organisation. An organised, professional and empathetic nature would be required along with an adaptable approach to the work. Most gain their knowledge through working in the healthcare sector but can also gain qualifications through AMSPAR which is widely recognised within the sector.
