Responsibilities & duties for Medical Administrators

Medical or Healthcare Administrators can be responsible for maintaining the patient database, dealing with enquiries from patients, hospitals and healthcare staff, creating files for new patients, keeping a record of appointments and results, scanning documents and compiling lists for clinics. They may also be required to assist on reception when needed.

Skills required for Medical Administrators

Medical Administrators would need to have worked within a medical environment possibly as a Receptionist. They would need to have knowledge of basic terminology, medical databases, Word, Excel and good keyboard skills. Medical Administrators should be organised, be able to work on their own initiative, be flexible and accurate in their work.
