Director of Marketing & Communications Jobs

Responsibilities & duties for Directors of Marketing & Communications

A Director or Head of Marketing and Communications will drive the development and implementation of internal and external communications and the overall marketing strategy. This includes public and media relations, events and corporate communications, external relations and brand - all of which are key in raising and maintaining the charity’s profile to internal and external stakeholders. Most Marketing Director jobs involve constant liaison with other Directors to ensure awareness and engagement of staff and volunteers are in line with the charity’s image and strategy.

Skills required for Directors of Marketing & Communications

Successful candidates applying for Director of Marketing and Communications jobs will need to have a proven track record as an effective leader at a senior level and experience of developing strategy. A formal marketing qualification, such as CIM is advantageous, although not usually essential.
