A purpose built youth facility in Camden are recruiting for a Youth Services Manager to take overall responsibility for the direct coordination and delivery of youth employability projects into the different programmes running through the services.
This will be a full time, permanent position for 30hours per week including at least one evening (on either Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays).
The centre has a purpose built dance and recording studio, community radio station, café area and access to flood lit sports facilities. They offer a diverse range of services to young people of mixed abilities aged 13-25years old including volunteering opportunities, IAG support and assistance into employment.
The main areas of responsibility for the Youth Service Manager will be:
*Direct coordination and delivery of the employability programme 'Youthworks', as well as incorporating employability and entrepreneurship into the evening youth programme.
*To manage and supervise all Castle Youth staff, tutors, interns, work experience placements & volunteers.
*To monitor and maintain service level agreements and comply with the terms and conditions of grant aid and other funding agreements.
*To Support the CEO with fundraising applications and take the lead on smaller, local bids.
*To work with the Finance manager in managing all areas of the project budget.
*To be the designated safeguarding officer (training will be given if necessary)
*To gain the London Youth Quality Assurance mark & maintain the standard achieved.
*To promote all programmes at local and national level.
Essential criteria for this role includes:
*Experience in developing youth employability programmes
*Have gained an NVQ level 4 in youth &/or community work (or equivalent)
*Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a Management and/or Leadership role
*Have experience in delivering employability, enterprise &/or IAG activities.
*Have a proven experience of managing a team that delivery work directly to young people in an inner city setting.
*Have experience of working with disadvantaged young people.
