Volunteering role at Wide Horizons
Wide Horizons is an adventure learning charity committed to enabling children to experience adventure as part of their curriculum and development. We have recently acquired a site of mature woodland in the heart of southeast London, and currently we are embarking on restoring it.
Thanks to the Mayor of London's Team London Programme, we have received funding to restore the on-site pond into a vibrant and rich habitat as well as providing an education tool to visitors. We're looking for Volunteers that like getting their hands dirty to help with the first stage of the project-clearing paths and managing the pond. There will also a huge range of jobs in later stages of the project, so there will be a role for everyone.
This is a volunteering role that would suit anyone who would like practical experience in ecological or forest management, and would look amazing on any CV, personal statements or even help go towards a Duke of Edinburgh award.
The restoration work is to begin in the New Year and if you are interested or would like any more information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
