Why the RNLI needs this role

This role will help us save lives at sea by helping to raise income and support from the local community.

Potential time commitment: Flexible
Team: Fundraising & Communications
Location: Bridlington
Responsible to: Community Fundraising Manager
Responsible for: N/A


  • Expectation to comply with the Volunteer Commitment
  • To be familiar with the variety of different fundraising toolkits available
  • To use the fundraising toolkits to encourage new audiences to fundraise for the RNLI e.g. sports clubs, pubs, businesses, schools or youth groups.
  • Offer advice and support to groups relating to the correct RNLI fundraising/banking procedures
  • Maintain positive fundraising relationships with new groups sharing updates with the wider team

Measures of Success

  • Increase in the number of fundraising groups including repeat supporters

Training and Support

  • Training to fulfil your volunteer role will be provided if required
  • The RNLI will aim to provide opportunities for personal development in your volunteer role
