Why the RNLI needs this role

This role will help us save lives at sea by supporting our participants in the Virgin London Marathon who are raising vital funds for the RNLI


Potential time commitment: 26th April 2015 – various times throughout the day

Team: Events Team

Location: Various locations in Central London

Responsible to: Events Logistics Manager

Responsible for (any other people): N/A

Role Specific Requirements (e.g. reference checks): N/A



  • Act as RNLI ambassadors
  • Cheer and support all the RNLI runners
  • Raise awareness of the charity


Measures of Success

  • RNLI runners feel supported and motivated
  • You enjoy and soak up the atmosphere
  • Ensure RNLI runners and volunteers are safely stewarded between finish area and post-race reception


Training and Support

  • A full briefing of responsibilities, route map, and any necessary training will be given in advance.
