Job Description - EXPIRED

A brand new, exciting opportunity has arisen for a Volunteer Recruitment Assistant to work alongside local RNLI fundraising branches in the Newcastle and North Tyneside area to help source new supporters and volunteers.

We’re looking for somebody who is enthusiastic and creative to help our fundraising branches attract new volunteer supporters from the local community.  This role would suit somebody who has good interpersonal skills with knowledge of the local area and who is willing to develop relationships with local shops, businesses, organisations and community groups in order to build up support.  If you are outgoing with a proactive nature and willing to spare a couple of  hours each week in order to help increase the number of supporter volunteers, we would love to hear from you.

You will liaise with the local Community Fundraising Manager as well as the RNLI branches to find out what support is needed and where.  Once the recruitment needs have been identified you can then reach out to the community to look at different recruitment possibilities and ways in which the different branch requirements can be resourced.

This is a fantastic opportunity to really make a difference and help raise funds for this lifesaving charity whilst also allowing you to learn new skills and enhancing your CV; if you are interested you can apply online at or call Gill King on 07557191866.

This is a volunteer opportunity within the RNLI.  RNLI volunteers are people who, unpaid and of their own free will, contribute their time, energy and skills to support the purposes of the RNLI.  RNLI volunteers may perform a variety of tasks and duties, under direction and guidance; using their skills, knowledge and time to help the RNLI best achieve its objectives.
