|Job Title||Volunteer Mentors - Waltham Forest - EXPIRED|
|Job Published||15 Oct 2015|
|Contact Name||Volunteers Team|
Could you make a positive difference in a child’s life? Are you a good role model?
Chance UK matches volunteer adult mentors with children in Waltham Forest. We need positive people from the local community to inspire a child for a few hours once a week. As well as giving something back to the community, volunteering as a mentor with us is a great opportunity to gain some fantastic experience working one-to-one with a child with challenging behaviour.
Each child is carefully paired with a mentor, and the two meet weekly for a year, for fun outings and problem-free time. During sessions, the mentor helps the child develop the confidence and personal and social skills which will help them deal with difficulties and build a brighter future. We provide full training and support throughout the mentoring process and the skills you will develop as a mentor are invaluable.
To find out more, or to apply for the role, please contact Emily Haley at firstname.lastname@example.org or call on 020 7281 5858 ext 225.
Next training dates: Saturdays 7th, 14th & 21st November and 16th, 23rd & 30th January.
