The RNLI has a network of local fundraising groups organising a wide range of activities and events which raise millions of pounds each year to save lives at sea. Each fundraising group is supported by a Community Fundraising Manager, although the range and frequency of fundraising events is determined by the local group members themselves. In Weymouth one of key events is Lifeboat week which, this year, will take place from the week beginning 24 July.
The Weymouth Fundraisers are a dedicated group of RNLI supporters who liaise closely with the operational volunteers at the lifeboat station. The group is keen to develop its current programme of fundraising activities and events, in particular Lifeboat Week, but needs some new input to co-ordinate, motivate and support the team. Could that be you?
