Job Description - EXPIRED

The RNLI has a network of local fundraising groups organising a wide range of activities and events which last year raised £14 million to save lives at sea. Each team is supported by a Community Fundraising Manager, although the range and frequency of fundraising events is determined by each local team themselves.

Would you like to join our motivated team of volunteers who contribute their time, energy and skills collecting for the RNLI? All we ask is for a bit of your time just once or twice a year, and your help will ensure we can take advantage of this great opportunity by increasing support within the community and raising vital funds needed to keep on saving lives.

We are looking for all kinds of people with all kinds of skills who can help out at an RNLI event at different times throughout the year – assisting at one of our events would be a great help to this lifesaving charity. You don’t need to have any prior experience or knowledge of the RNLI, and we will provide everything you need on the day. All we ask is that you are enthusiastic and keen to get involved and we will guide you through the rest.

This role would suit a friendly, welcoming person who enjoys being part of a team and getting involved within their local community.

This is a volunteer opportunity within the RNLI.  RNLI volunteers are people who, unpaid and of their own free will, contribute their time, energy and skills to support the purposes of the RNLI.  RNLI volunteers may perform a variety of tasks and duties, under direction and guidance, using their skills, knowledge and time to help the RNLI best achieve its objectives.

We respect and honour our volunteers by building trust and understanding.  Such a partnership is not intended to be a legally binding contract or to have mutuality of obligation, but instead express a voluntary two-way commitment where everyone gains satisfaction from being part of our organisation.
