Why the RNLI needs this role

This role will help us save lives at sea by raising income and support from the local community.

Potential time commitment: Flexible
Team: Fundraising & Communications
Location: Fleetwood, Lancashire
Responsible to: Community Fundraising Manager
Responsible for: N/A


  • Comply with Volunteer Commitment
  • Welcome and encourage a diverse group of new members/supporters into the RNLI
  • Assist Membership secretary in providing accurate data of branch members/supporters to fundraising support team office so that
  • RNLI can comply with Data Protection Act (DPA).
  • Act as branch information point for current Data Protection (DPA) requirements.
  • Attend branch meetings and assist at fundraising events and activities.

Measures of Success

  • Number of new branch/guild members appointed and retained vs. members resigned
  • Increase in number of branch members/supporters
  • Positive feedback from new members/supporters
  • Promoting and upholding the reputation of the RNLI within the community

Training and Support

  • Training to fulfil your volunteer role will be provided if required
  • The RNLI will aim to provide opportunities for personal development in your volunteer role
