|Job Title||Trustees - EXPIRED|
|Job Published||01 Sep 2015|
|Contact Name||Volunteers Team|
IDAS is the charity that provides comprehensive support services to those experiencing or affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence throughout York and North Yorkshire. Our services include refuge accommodation, outreach support and a free confidential helpline.
We are looking for a number of new voluntary trustees/non-executive directors. We particularly need a new treasurer, and someone else with a fundraising background, though all experience is valuable. Trustees are responsible for the legal and safe running of the charity’s activities; the board of trustees meets quarterly and makes overall strategic decisions about the charity’s direction, its vision, and core values.
This is an exciting time to join the board of trustees following recent expansion of the charity into new geographical areas and the development of services for male victims and for children, with funding coming from local authorities, trusts and the Police & Crime Commissioner.
Being an IDAS trustee is a challenging but extremely rewarding experience. You will be a strategic thinker, able to work in a team, and have a firm belief in IDAS’s aims, core values and work. You will have the ability to absorb and analyse complex information, carry out research and have experience in strategic planning. You will be a clear communicator, and be self-motivated.
If you think you are up to the challenge please visit their website (https://www.idas.org.uk/get-involved/volunteer-for-idas/ for further information, a role description and an application form. Alternatively, please contact Claudia Gilham or Jane Adam on email@example.com for a further discussion.
