The world's original and largest certification body for auditors of management systems is recruiting for a new role in their growing Education and Training team. They are looking for a permanent Training Manager.
The purpose of this post is to manage the development and delivery of the public and in-house training courses across a range of delivery methods and product lines eg online and face-to-face.
The post holder will also be involved in developing plans for growing revenue through widening the scope of our training products and services provided to industry.
*Managing the training products, systems and processes; taking responsibility for the development and delivery of the training products (public, in-house and online), and ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer service.
*Working with Marketing and Communications teams to ensure the effective marketing of the training courses.
*Developing, implementing and managing the training business plans, budgets and resources.
*Identifying, setting and meeting appropriate targets for the Training Team on overall revenue, costs, delegate numbers and in-house contracts. Regularly updating the Head of Training and Senior Management Team with results against these targets, making improvements when required.
*Contributing to business development by analysing customer feedback, actively spotting opportunities and ensuring the right resources are invested from the perspective of income generation.
*Collaborating with colleagues across the organisation, in particular the Corporate Team and Head of Profession to convert introductions and leads into training projects: attending client meetings, preparing and presenting proposals, managing client and account relationships.
*Collaborating with the Learning and Development Team to ensure alignment between teams and constant communication.
*Ensuring effective working relationships are maintained and contractual requirements are met with our subcontracted tutors, partners and in-house training customers.
*Working with colleagues to develop tailored solutions for clients, assuring the integrity of the delivered product/ service.
*Developing and agreeing terms & conditions with clients eg intellectual property agreements, contracts etc.
*Managing the performance of the Training Team through structured management and development activities, including regular one-to-one meetings, coaching, performance and development reviews.
*Ensuring the team has clear objectives and performance indicators, and monitoring these to ensure that they are achieved. If there are any variances, act on these appropriately with support from HR.
Essential Criteria for the role:
*Experience working in a management position in a commercial training function.
*Experience of developing and delivering (or managing the development and delivery of) learning and consultancy online and face-to-face products (with a business-related topic).
*Experience of working with a marketing team to maintain and grow training revenue.
*Educated to degree level or equivalent.
*Exposure to the quality profession and an understanding of quality management would be an advantage.
