Supporter Engagement Officer – 3 month temporary role OR fixed term contract

Our client a leading health charity are currently recruiting for an experienced Supporter Engagement Officer to join the busy team. This role will be reporting into the Supporter Engagement Manager and the pay rate will be £13.19 per hour PAYE (equivalent of £24,000 per annum)

The main responsibility of this role is to provide the highest level of service to the supporters and members of the organisation, please see further details on this role below;

Duties and responsibilities;

  • Responding to enquiries from existing and potential supporters and members
  • Helping to batch, process and code payments and donations
  • Updating the in-house system daily
  • Record enquiries and information on the database
  • To process membership applications and update records
  • Sending out information to supporters and members using specific templates
  • Other ad hoc administration duties where required

Person specification;

  • Experience in a supporter / membership or customer service team
  • Experience of responding and dealing with enquiries promptly and efficiently from supporters
  • Excellent communication – both written and orally, particularly an excellent telephone manner
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
  • Experience of using supporter or CRM databases, to log data accurately
  • Ability to analyse and action instructions and procedures quickly and effectively
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
