“Hi, I understand that all the above requirements may seem daunting and a lot to do but I ensure you it isn’t, I pretty much want someone to ‘be my eyes’. I am fiercely independent and would only ask for help when I need it, but I would also like you to be switched on and realise\know when I need help without me having to ask for help all the time. A lot of it will be common sense and as we get to know one another it will get easier in terms of knowing when to help. I am very approachable so if you have any questions or concerns please ask. Don’t let my disability define or narrow your judgment towards me as a person. I look forward to working with you.”
