Job Description - EXPIRED

About the opportunity

We run stay & play groups over three sites to ensure everyone has access.

The stay & play groups we run in the Tyseley and Greet areas need volunteers.

Would you like to assist our skilled staff team in ensuring that these stay & play groups run smoothly?

About The Springfield Project

The Springfield Project is a Birmingham-based charity with a passion for our local community. We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming space in which people from diverse backgrounds can meet and receive support.

The Project developed from St Christopher's Church's commitment to supporting families in the local area and sharing God's love in our community.

We work in partnership with Birmingham City Council to deliver children's centre services providing activities and support for families with children under 5.

We run the Neighbour Scheme, a social prescription project between local GPs and the Springfield Project, working to reduce isolation and improve the mental wellbeing of adults referred by their GP or self-referred.

What are they looking for?

We are looking for volunteers who can get down to the children’s level to model good play and communication, who can listen to parents and who will be proactive in working with the rest of the team in sessions. You do not necessarily need experience of working with children.

Let us know if this sounds like you!

Practical Considerations

The postcodes of the two sites are B11 3DD and B11 3ND. We are able to reimburse reasonable travel expenses if required.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please email Rosalyn Clare at saying why you would be a good person for the role, as well as your post code.
