A professional body are currently recruiting for a Soft Skills Product Specialist to work with the Product Development and Quality Assurance Teams to ensure that all requirements are being met.

This full time permanent role will mainly be home working with travel to the main offices in Hertfordshire as well as frequent visits to centres and external organisations essential as required.

The main responsibilities of the Soft Skills Product Specialist role will be to:
*To work with the Product Development Team to develop regulated qualifications and non-regulated provision that meet both regulatory and stakeholder requirements
*Assisting on the development of Sector Skills Council (SSC) and joint awarding body units and rules of combination.
*To work with the Quality Assurance Team to develop an external quality assurance strategy for all assigned and approved centres.
*To plan and carry out monitoring visits providing exemplary support and to ensure that all awarding organisation and regulatory requirements are being met
*Make recommendations for centre approval/re-approval (or otherwise)
*Issue sanctions to centres up to and including level 2

The key criteria for this role include:
*Excellent knowledge of the vocational qualifications landscape
*Excellent writing skills and proof-reading skills
*Analytical and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently
*Ability to pay close attention to detail, with an organised and methodical approach
*Ability to liaise and instruct authors and consultants on the development of products
*Will have implemented assessment strategies and managed the qualification process.
*Excellent project development skills.
*Driving licence (to attend UK meetings, as required)
*Vocational qualification in appropriate area to Level 5 or equivalent
