Are you an experienced manager looking to transform the way an organisation delivers support?
Our client is a pioneering social care charity who provide support services for disabled and disadvantaged people. Formed in 1980’s in London, they now have services throughout much of England to people with a wide range of social care needs including disabilities, autism, mental health needs, complex needs, physical disabilities and homelessness.
As the Service Manager you will be supported by the charity to spearhead necessary change to ensure care is delivered in a more personalised way by developing personalised support packages. In additional to committing to change your role will also include managing and coordinating the overall delivery of support to service users, ensuring they are supported to lead independent and fulfilling lives, as well as providing leadership and management to teams of nursing and support staff. You will be responsible for a budget and required to implement the charities policies, procedures and guidelines.
To be considered for this role you will need to have substantial experience of working with people in a community setting coupled with a thorough understanding of the issues which face people with learning disabilities and complex health needs, including working knowledge of the Health & Social Care Act 2008. As you will be leading a team and responsible to introducing change it is required that you have a leadership approach and a strong background in people management.
