An organisation leading creative industry engagement with employers and stakeholders to grow ambition for and investment in skills and talent development is current recruiting for a Senior Delivery Manager starting ASAP until the end of March 2016.
Supporting the Head of Partnerships, the Senior Delivery Manager will maintain an up-to-date picture of the sectoral and regional partnership requirements across all projects and contracts and, working closely with the Head of Operations, the Programmes Team, the Fund Team and other teams as required, allocating people and finance as required ensuring successful delivery.
Working to high standards of excellence, the role will: guide and oversee project delivery; lead on internal and external project reporting, including monitoring and evaluation; manage budgets; support and encourage cross-team collaboration to ensure success.
The key responsibilities of the Senior Delivery Manager role include:
Ensure achievement of all programme and contract targets for employer engagement and uptake of Apprentices, interns, continuing professional development and other activity
Develop and maintaining programme schedules and ensuring adherence
Provide analysis and resolution of any issues or blockages to the successful delivery of programmes
Lead on internal and external reporting for all sectoral and regional strategies and investment plans
Line management of the team Coordinators and Administrators.
Manage human and financial resources to ensure programme success, including contracting Associates where needed.
Work closely with the Programmes team and the Head of Operations to manage all partnership and industry engagement requirements.
Foster a culture of excellence in the team and establish efficient working practices, to achieve consistent, high quality delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with programme partners and stakeholders.
Instil a culture of learning and innovation among all staff working on the programmes; regularly capture and reflect on monitoring and evaluation information to test and improve programme delivery.
Liaise with teams across Creative Skillset to ensure full integration of partnership and engagement activity with other Creative Skillset projects.
Essential Criteria for the role includes:
Proven aptitude for partnership working.
Proven experience of successfully managing and delivering large-scale projects and programmes to meet specific targets.
Experience of managing teams to deliver objectives within tight timescales.
Experience of building effective partnerships with high-level stakeholders and customers.
Knowledge and understanding of training and skills development.
Knowledge of the Creative Industries and the sector's skills and business challenges.
Sound project management skills, with experience of setting and managing budgets.
Ability to cope with uncertainty and a frequently changing landscape and environment.
An ability to see the bigger picture and to make insightful connections between disparate projects and programmes of work
Skillful management and prioritization of a complex workload, matrix-working with colleagues in different teams across multiple projects.
