Only one in six Londoner's know the Royal National Lifeboat Institution are in operation on the River Thames, yet Tower and Chiswick Lifeboat stations (2 of the 3 London Lifeboat stations) are the busiest RNLI stations in the country. In 2014, these stations rescued 231 people and saved 27 lives.
Help us raise awareness and funds for this much needed service in the capital!
We are looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to help us raise funds and awareness about the London Lifeboats on Tuesday 28 April 2015. We will provide you with a dummy crew kit, a dummy lifejacket and a bucket. All you need to do is bring some ID and your biggest smile.
All volunteers will receive a health and safety briefing.
Hours/Days we require volunteers: Tuesday 28 April 2015, between 7am-7pm. Whether you can spare a few hours or a whole day, you can really help make a difference to the RNLI in London.
