A Leading awarding body are looking to recruit a Research and Product Development Manager on a Maternity contract for 18 months paying £46,631-£51,452 per annum plus excellent benefits package. The role is based in Newcastle, however they are opening to candidates relocating.

The main priorities of the role are to:
Lead and develop the Research and Product Development team and be responsible for the development and positioning of the portfolio of products and services to achieve their financial objectives.
Ensure that product developments contribute to business strategy and are compliant in line with the requirements set out by the Qualifications Regulators.
Manage the commercially focussed Product Managers who have key responsibility, working across teams, for coordinating development, marketing, augmentation and sales of specific product groups.
Develop and implement a strategy for the future direction of the product and service portfolio which includes qualifications and learning resources.
The ideal candidate will have worked within a similar role within an awarding body previously, with great leadership and motivational skills and the ability to identify and act upon commercial opportunities and make recommendations on the future direction of the education portfolio. Knowledge of current developments in education, experience of working in an educational environment as well as business management and budget management skills are essential.
