This well-established professional body are recruiting a Professional Standards Manager to bridge the gap between the Membership and Policy function.
Your role will involve both an internal focus including industry-wide professional standards and disciplinary codes and external stakeholder engagement.
Main Duties for the Professional Standards Manager include:
Handling individual complaints, often complex and sensitive in nature.
Working closely with the Committee, preparing meetings and agendas, advising on issues.
Engaging in policy debate, representing organisation with key external stakeholders - Tax Authorities, Legal Service Regulators and Consumer bodies.
Broadly assess Membership department, influencing change where necessary.
Essential criteria for Professional Standards Manager include:
Extensive experience within a membership/professional body within Membership, Quality or Policy.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to represent the organisation.
Intellectually curious, with the drive to become the internal Professional Standards "champion"
Experience within a Regulatory role is desirable but not essential.
