We are currently recruiting for a high performing international development charity to lead of their PR and Media strategy, both online and offline. This role will be a powerful driver in helping to raise awareness and understand of the role this excellent charity plays in international development, taking their newly developed brand to be unveiled this year and promoting it to the world.
This role will lead on developing and delivering the media strategy across the organisation, tracking the impact of it against a variety of tailored KPI's and altering the activity accordingly. You will be the budget holder for the implementation of the strategy, including for the useage of external agencies - you will also be the primary point of contact for these agencies. As the most senior dedicated media and PR professional within the charity, your voice will help to define the media engagement of their new brand now and for the foreseeable future.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate your experience within a press office. You will have selected, evaluated and reported on media profiles in the past, and proven your ability it designing and implementing high performing strategies. As a key media spokesperson, you will have experience of being able to promote an organisation and be able to translate complex issues to layman's terms. Expert knowledge of partnering and influencing the media is essential to this role, and further ability to work with celebrities (particularly celebrity ambassadors) would be highly desirable. You must be willing to travel on occasion at short notice for this role.
