A busy and vibrant nursery registered under a community association in Camden are currently recruiting for a Nursery Manager on a full time, permanent basis.

The nursery runs in partnership with parents and a parent's board of governors to offer a wide range of classroom and outside play activities for children aged 0-8years old to stimulate young growing minds.

The Nursery Manager will be responsible for 44children and up to 15staff members and will work shifts in conjunction with the Deputy Manager.

Main responsibilities will include:
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursery and it's services for children aged 0-8 years
Ensuring children are exposed to a high standard of learning opportunities and complying with statutory framework for the early year's foundation stage, relevant policies and legislation within the requirement of Ofsted guidelines.
Oversee and build up an extensive learning programme and curriculum for all children, encourage a home school learning initiative, build up a cohesive working team and key person system, ensure that health and safety and child protection is adhered to and understood by all staff and patrons and to portray equal opportunities for all involved in the nursery.
Keep to and set budgets throughout the nursery; applying room budgets to all rooms and keeping to all other budgetary requirements.
Ensure that the nursery maintains a high capacity rate.

Essential criteria for the Nursery Manager includes:
Early Years Teacher, Early Years Professional Graduate in Early Childhood Studies or NVQ Level 3
At least 5 years of experience in childcare within a nursery setting
At least 3 year of experience in a management post
Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Curriculum, how children learn, children's behaviour and the Non Statutory Development matters; and to be aware of and keep up to date with all new government initiatives.
Ability to lead and develop staff
Understanding and training in child protection issues
