TPP’s client, one of the UK’s leading pioneering charities in services for physically disabled children are seeking an interim Regional Services Co-ordinator to work across their London region.

Our client has a vision that all disabled children live a full, fun life filled with friendships and hope for an independent future. They are launching an ambitious programme offering more than 10,000 opportunities for young disabled people to gain the skills they need for a better future. The Regional Co-ordinator job is a vital role in the organisation, to ensure key services are being utilised across London.

Our client believes that every disabled young person has the right to a fun and active childhood. Their mission is to transform their lives by providing the equipment, support and life skills they need in order to achieve this. This is achieved through providing 13 different services throughout the UK ranging from; campaigns, wheelchair skills training, activity clubs to residential camps.

The interim Regional Services Co-ordinator job is covering the London region and will require the successful candidate to build and maintain key partnerships. The role is to ensure that all the organisations services are joined up and delivered to a high standard with a focus on 2 key services. This will be achieved by pitching these services to partners; these being Schools, NHS, Children centres etc. along with nurturing a network of trainers, volunteers and young leaders who will be responsible for the delivery of the services. A large part of the role will also include evaluation of each users customer journey, mapping out what services are needed and when and creating a referral pipeline to extend the reach of the organisation. The successful candidate will need to work collaboratively with the regional teams in order to develop these key partnerships and ensure that all services work cohesively.

Our client is looking for someone with excellent knowledge of physical disabilities, and how this can affect a young person’s life. Experience of setting up and sustaining youth clubs, services and leisure opportunities is required along with the ability to sell an idea with passion and commitment to the cause. Project management experience is essential to the role along with excellent communication skills, the ability to use IT programs such as outlook, word, excel, power point. It is also very important that the successful candidate have good understanding of good practice and law around child protection, disability discrimination and equal opportunities.

This job is an interim post for 4 months, cover for a full time position. Therefore it is important that the successful candidate is available to start within an appropriate timeframe.
