A well-established international charity are seeking an experienced Governance Officer to join their team.

Main duties for the Governance Officer:
To support the Director of Governance and Legal Services
To assist with the coordination of board meetings/ governance meetings
Circulating agendas and supporting papers
To support with the induction process of new trustees
Take minutes at meetings
Track business between meetings
Manage and file annual reports
Instruct and work with external legal advisors
Work with finance team to maintain central registry of contacts

Essential criteria for the Governance Officer:
Extensive experience within a governance or similar role
Understanding of good governance
Working knowledge of UK company and charity legislation
Understanding of UK contract legislation
Experience of working with solicitors and legal advisors
Ideally will have experience of filing stator reports and returns
Ability to research and deliver clear reports
