This well established international aid charity are recruiting an experienced Fundraising Project Manager to be responsible for the management of a specific fundraising appeal.

This contract duration is for six months and the successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management for similar campaigns.

Also essential are excellent project management and organisation skills and being a confident and articulate communicator.

Main duties include:

  • Organise and chair weekly Vision for Zambia meetings for the project team
  • Prepare agenda and written notes of the meetings and circulate to the team
  • Act as the main liaison and information point for the appeal within Orbis UK
  • To be the main liaison point between Orbis UK and the external funder
  • To make sure all appeal activity, messaging and materials are coordinated and shared across the project team
  • To run brainstorms and idea generating sessions before and during the appeal to maximize the income and awareness potential of the campaign
  • At the end of the appeal to work with the fundraising, communications and finance teams to summarise all activity and report back to the external funder on final results
  • To keep the Senior Management Team abreast of developments with the campaign and the relationship with external funders.
  • To keep the wider Orbis UK team up to speed on developments with Vision for Zambia

Essential criteria includes:

  • Experience of running and managing successful projects with many stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a marketing, fundraising or communications environment
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team oriented work style, with a pro-active, open-minded, and flexible approach.
  • High degree of computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Oral and written fluency in English
