A family centre based in Ladbroke Grove, West London is looking to recruit an Early Years Practitioner for their early years setting which aims to support children with Special Educational Needs. This is an ongoing temporary position paying £10-12per hour.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a community based special education needs charity who have been awarded the Gold Standard Investors in People award.

To work with the children who attend the Family Centre, providing high quality care and education to meet their individual needs.
To plan and provide activities for children under the age of five with a range of complex and profound learning disabilities, and for mainstream children who attend the inclusive drop-in and crèche service within the framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage and other appropriate guidance documents.
To develop and foster good relationships with other members of the team, parents and other professionals.
To ensure that all work carried out complies with and promotes the Society's Diversity Policy, mission and values.
To manage the nursery in the absence of the Manager and Deputy.

Education required:
A recognised NNEB qualification or its equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or above.

Experience required:
Experience of working with children with disabilities in an early years setting.
Knowledge and experience of planning within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, including the ability to demonstrate initiative and to create and lead appropriate play & learning opportunities for all children using the centre.
Experience of managing a room or team previously.
