The British Humanist Association is the national charity working on behalf of non-religious people who seek to live ethical and fulfilling lives on the basis of reason and humanity. Founded in 1896, they have over 40,000 members and supporters and over a million people attend their events each year.
This new post is responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of the BHA’s communication and development aims: to increase public understanding of Humanism; to expand and develop the BHA’s supporter base to raise funds; to gain media coverage for their campaigns; and to increase the take-up of community services.
We are seeking a broadly experienced comms and development professional with an understanding of, and ability to communicate about Humanism. Strategic, but with excellent implementation skills, you will be operationallly confident across media, stakeholder development, CRM and budgetary management.
