Animal Charity – Based Oxfordshire - Direct Marketing Officer Reference J52996EDR (PERMANENT - £27,000 - £30,000) and Direct Marketing Assistant Reference J52995EDR (contract until the end of the year £18,800 - £20,400)
I am working with a much loved Animal Welfare Charity as the grow their Direct Marketing Team. They are looking for two posts and Assistant and Officer level both will be based at the Carleton office. The Assistant role may beome permanent.
Direct Marketing Officer:
The Direct Marketing Officer is a key member of a team working to grow the database of active supporters for Direct Marketing activities. The charity is at an exciting new phase of growth where donor recruitment will play a critical role in helping to expand their services. You will play a part in significantly increasing public awareness using a variety of media channels to tap into new and existing audiences to expand fundraising potential. You will work closely with Data Services, Supporter Care, Legacy Marketing, other Marketing functions and relevant senior managers, external agencies and fulfilment houses. Working with the Direct Marketing Manager and Donor Development team, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring recruitment campaigns are despatched on time and within budget.
The Direct Marketing Officer will need:
A minimum of 2-3 years charity direct marketing experience on either agency or client side
Confidence in the use of Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Direct Marketing Assistant:
The Direct Marketing Assistant (Digital) is a key member of a team working to increase income from Direct Marketing activities. You will work closely with the web team (based in London), Data Services, Supporter Care and other Marketing functions and relevant senior managers, external agencies and fulfilment houses. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Direct Marketing Officer in ensuring digital campaigns are despatched on time, within budget, and are regularly tested to ensure they are as effective as possible. The role will primarily focus on digital communications including email and SMS, with some work focusing on the donor journey that follows on from these communications, e.g. online landing pages.
The Direct Marketing Assistant will need:
Knowledge of Direct Marketing techniques, digital marketing and how the two can work together to increase donor retention and income from donations.
Working on integrated/multichannel campaigns combining online and offline channels
Knowledge of email platforms and social media
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel
Compiling results and analysis
