TPP are working on behalf of a leading national charity committed to helping children and adults with learning disabilities to recruit a Deputy Principal for a residential school based in Wingrave, Buckinghamshire near to Leighton Buzzard and Aylesbury. This is a permanent position looking to pay £55,397- £62,521 per annum plus standard teacher's pension.
The school provides education and care for young people with complex learning difficulties aged ten to nineteen years. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Head to join a school which has received outstanding Ofsted comments, to provide strong leadership and continue in the success of the school.
The role will be responsible for providing a vibrant, creative and diverse community where children are encouraged to over achieve in a safe and healthy environment. The role will have line management responsibility for teaching staff, and is accountable for leading teaching, learning and assessment across the school.
The successful candidate will have the following key skills and attributes:
QTS status and SEN qualification
Have successful experience of leadership within the education sector
Demonstrate substantial knowledge of working with young people with severe and complex special educational needs
Be a strategic thinker and credible communicator
