Department Secretary - 4 month contract

Our client a large membership charity are seeking an experienced secretary to join their team on a 4 month fixed term contract starting 17th August.
This post sits in the central secretariat office and acts as support to the general secretary and the team; you will be responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to the General Secretary and Central Secretariat department, as well and the Membership Committee;  and ad-hoc support to the Centenary projects.

General Duties:
-    To deal with incoming papers, e-mails and telephone calls
-    To provide adequate telephone cover at all times
-    To liaise with the Board Secretary and Membership Office to maintain and updated the departmental circulation list
-    Arrange travel and accommodation as appropriate
-    To service and support the Membership Committee by arranging and minuting meetings
-    Organise events
-    To service projects by preparing paters and minute meetings

Personal Specification:
-    Relevant experience as a Secretary or within an administrative role
-    Minute taking experience at meetings of approx. 10 people or more
-    Experience of handling confidential information
-    Reliable and punctual
-    Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
-    Good telephone manner
