TPP are pleased to be partnering with the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) to recruit an exciting new role as a Commercial Analyst. The role will be based at CAMRA headquarters in St Albans and will involve supporting the Finance Director in providing high quality FP & A to the organisation. The successful applicant will have strong commercial acumen and a passion for manipulating data and management information.

CAMRA is a not-for-profit consumer group with nearly 180,000 members that has been operating since 1971. Their vision is to have quality real ale and thriving pubs in every community. They are a volunteer-led organisation, with a small, enthusiastic and committed staff team of almost 50 people. CAMRA is independent and their objectives are wholly membership driven. All proceeds are put back into achieving their campaigning objectives and they have no commercial interests.

Duties in the role will include:

-Providing financial and commercial analysis and forward planning to support financial sustainability and growth of the organisation

-Working with the Senior Finance Manager to analyse monthly performance of central organisation

-Facilitate the production of a balanced scorecard monthly report

-Production of quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and five year strategic plans

-Robust analysis of CAMRA beer festivals and regional branches

-Cashflow analysis

-Building a centre of expertise in all financial and non-financial Management Information analysis, including membership data

Requirements for this role:

-Part or fully-qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA etc)

-Experience working in a commercial FP&A role, preferably in a multi-site environment

-Experience developing performance metrics / KPIs

-Ability to draw insight from incomplete data

-Strong technical skills, namely Excel and accounting packages

-Experience with a volunteer focused or membership body desirable
