An internationally renowned professional body for people development are looking to recruit for an Assessment Manager (Quality Assurance and Policy) within their expanding Qualifications team.
The Assessment Manager will lead the development of policies, processes and systems across the Awarding Body function that raise and maintain qualification standards.
A key function of the role will be to ensure the quality assurance framework is integrated, sufficiently flexible and cost effective to support future plans for growing the body's qualifications business, whilst at the same time meeting regulatory requirements.
*Determine QA policy for qualifications ensuring compliance with bodies such as Ofqual, SQA and QAA
*Determine policy for the quality assurance, accreditation and monitoring of HE programmes
*Work with the QA Operations and Centre Quality functions to ensure that QA policy is effectively and appropriately managed
*Lead the design and development of qualification structures, units and assessment strategies
*Manage relationships with the qualification regulators and lead the annual statement of compliance review
*Help develop the qualifications portfolio, working with the external community as appropriate
*Help to manage the external community including EVs, Moderators and Standards Verifiers
*Manage the qualifications Assessment team
*Manage the QA policy and assessment team.
Skills and experience
*Excellent understanding of educational frameworks and the requirements of qualification regulatory bodies (Ofqual, The Welsh Government, SQA and the QAA)
*Substantial experience of developing and maintaining centre relationships in the context of regulated qualifications delivered in the UK and internationally
*Experience of a risk-based approach to qualification quality assurance
*Substantial experience of managing the contribution of an external quality assurance community of practice
*Experience of managing budgets
*Experience of leading a team and developing staff
*Experience of successfully leading and managing change
