Kick It Out

 

Kick It Out is football’s equality and inclusion campaign. They work throughout the football, educational and community sectors to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and work for positive change.

 

Kick It Out is looking for a volunteer project worker to work with the organisation in the run-up to and during the forthcoming One Game, One Community weeks of action.

 

The role will involve assisting with the planning, organisation and delivery of the Kick It Out Week of Action.  Providing assistance with the One Game One Community Grant Scheme, distribution of resources and the planning of weeks of action events.  You will also assist the Kick It Out team with the evaluation and review of the weeks of action.

 

Responsibilities will include assisting the staff with the distribution of One Game One Community Grants, ensuring that all information is correctly recorded on a database, assisting with grant assessments, communicating decisions to applicants and on-going liaison with groups that are awarded a grant. You will be assisting with general communication around the weeks of action, producing specific paperwork for warehouse personnel, packing and distribution of all resources and help resolving any client queries that may arise. You will assist the Campaigns Manager with the planning and organisation of Kick It Out events, which may include assisting with week of action events that take place on match days at professional clubs.  Therefore you may be required to work evenings and weekends.

 

For this role you will need an appreciation and understanding of the impact of racism in all areas of football and society, good literacy, organisation and communication skills.  Good IT skills and experience of using Excel and Word would be an advantage. You must be able to work as part of a team, and at the same time be able to complete individual tasks with some degree of guidance, the ability to work in a high pressured, fast moving environment and be able to adapt to a wide number of varying tasks.
