We are a dynamic and inclusive charity working to promote and enhance the job prospects of people living in the London region through provision of careers advice, employer advocacy and basic skills training. We focus on the long term unemployed, offenders, speakers of other languages and people with drug and alcohol problems.
This is a challenging time for our beneficiaries and for the charity as we adapt to economic conditions and attempt to respond to current business needs in public and private sectors.
We are seeking a Trustee to join the Board who has experience of financial accounting, organisational controls and management of expenditure. The successful candidate will ideally bring with them knowledge and experience of the public and or not for profit sectors, in particular knowledge of SORP would be beneficial.
Candidates are likely to have worked at a senior level, have excellent networking skills and be comfortable when required to represent the organisation.
You will attend four evening Trustee meetings, one away day, the AGM and be a member of one of more RKL Committees as well as other occasional celebratory events.
Please note that this is a voluntary position and expenses only are paid.
The closing date for applications is 17th February 2012.
