Kairos WWT believes in the value and dignity of all women. They aim to support, empower and give a voice to women caught up in sex work, or at risk of prostitution and those aspiring to leave it. They work in Coventry by providing safe spaces, a listening ear and development opportunities.
They aim to offer safe women-only spaces, and access to other professional services, offer a listening ear and to give a voice through advocacy and create a wide range of opportunities for development, change and growth. They also support family and child contact in a positive environment.
The Trustee will ensure the organisation complies with its governing document, charity law etc. Contribute to the board of trustees’ giving firm strategic direction, setting overall policy, defining goals and evaluating performance. Will also safeguard the good name and values of the organisation and ensure the effective and efficient administration and Financial Stability of the organisation. In addition to the above statutory duties, each trustee should use ant specific skills, knowledge or experience they have to help the board of trustees reach sound decisions.
In particular they are interested in trustees with Employment Law knowledge/HR experience.
This role is based in Coventry.
