Trust Fundraising Assistant
Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Trust
The purpose of this role is to assist the growth of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Trust income by playing an active role in making applications, thanking donors and researching new prospects.
Your main duties will include gathering information to develop proposals, complete application forms, reports and write thank you letters as appropriate. Research and identify new trusts, develop a good understanding of blood cancer issues and medical research projects. Maintain accurate records of approaches made and donations received to enable effective donor management (includes Visual Alms database training). You will also be requested to approach executors of will for discretionary bequests.
You will be carrying out other ad hoc duties that may reasonably be required i.e. proof reading and making sure that you follow Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research practice with particular regard for health and safety.
You will need to be able to demonstrate that you are well organised and have good writing skills. This is the perfect opportunity for someone wishing to gain experience in the charity sector and offers a chance to understand how a trust fundraising team works.
You will be an effective ambassador for the organisation and make every effort to work well with all staff to help the organisation run smoothly.
This role is for a maximum of 3 days per week.
