This leading social welfare charity are looking for a Special Events Officer to design, organise and run a series of tailored engagement events to maximise the charities long term income and support.
The main duties of the role will include;
- Responsible for developing an engagement events strategy, providing an annual programme of engagement opportunities
- Ensure databases are accurately maintained and utilised effectively as a primary tool
- Lead on the planning and implementation of all engagement events
- Analyse event effectiveness and inform future event planning
- Create and execute a comprehensive event tool incorporating an assessment of value for money as well as value in terms of stakeholder relationships development
- Identify and understand the needs of key stakeholders in order to make tailored approaches and proposals to a variety of audiences
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- Experience working within events planning and dealing with a range of influential individuals and stakeholders
- IT literate with excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suit and database management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrable skills in tailoring messages/proposals to fit the needs of various audiences
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask in order to achieve desired results and use time and resources effectively
- Target driven, able to use own initiative and work effectively under own direction
- Ability to identify the need of internal and external customer to ensure effective customer feedback.
