CLIC Sargent
CLIC Sargent is a Cancer Charity that cares for Children and Young People across the UK.
The aims of the internship are three-fold:
To research how CLIC Sargent could measure the impact of their services on the outcomes for families, analysing the options and recommending a way forward
To develop their approach to gathering service user feedback: Review their recent user feedback exercise, research options for next year, analyse the options and recommend a way forward
To monitor their service levels and improve their performance management system: Support the quarterly performance reporting process and identify ways to improve this
The role will involve research, making contacts with partners, working with CLIC Sargent staff members in departments across the charity, options analysis, report writing and data analysis.
They are looking for people with excellent research skills, with the ability to seek out information from a variety of sources, excellent analytical skills and be able to understand, assess and present information from a variety of sources. You should also have good report writing skills, be numerate and IT literate, confident and be able to use your initiative.
The three projects will provide you with a real insight into the health and social care service delivery environment, you will develop key business management skills essential for success in all management roles i.e. performance management, data analysis, report writing, assimilating and condensing information from a wide variety of sources.
CLIC Sargent will provide full induction, training and one-to-one support for you in your role, offer you further training and development opportunities. They also run a tailored workshop on CV and application writing and interview techniques.
You should be available from 6th September – 3rd December for 2-3 days/week (days and hours are negotiable). You will be based in Hammersmith and will be reimbursed for out of pocket expenses.
