This PR Officer role is based in central London and will be working for a large disability charity.
The PR Officer will be working closely with the Public Policy and Citizenship & Rights team; you will be supporting and promoting the charity's campaigning initiatives by providing publicity advice, planning PR activity and generating media coverage to increase awareness of the cause among target audiences.
You will have substantial experience of journalism, PR or communications work that will enable you to develop strong media relations and effectively promote issues important to service users and to the media. You will also be able to provide PR support to other teams within the charity.
The appointed candidate will have:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with journalists and broadcasters
- Fantastic written skills, with the ability to produce high quality creative, effective and accurate written materials and PR information
- The ability to structure and manage high quality PR campaigns
