Office Administration Volunteer - Neuroblastoma Alliance

The Neuroblastoma Children’s Cancer Alliance helps children and families affected by neuroblastoma through providing financial assistance for children’s treatment. We also help parents, families, friends and communities raise funds to support the treatment of children suffering from the disease. We want to improve the outcome for all children with neuroblastoma and aim to fund leading clinical research in recognised cancer centres.
The purpose of the role is to assist the small team with their day-to-day administration of the charity and enable the Neuroblastoma Alliance to achieve more through your input.

We are looking for a person who has good written and spoken communication skills. You need to be enthusiastic, organised and able to meet deadlines. Experience of working in an office environment is desirable but not essential. You are computer literate and ideally, have experience of databases and data entry. You are enthusiastic, have a pleasant manner and are patient and reliable.

From this role you will have a chance to learn new skills or build on your existing ones, gain practical experience of working in an office environment, work as part of a team, have knowledge that your contribution will directly benefit children with neuroblastoma, develop team skills, take part in important activities, access training and meet new challenges.

The successful candidate must be available to volunteer for at least a minimum of 1 to 3 days a week for at least 3 months. We welcome longer commitments.

We will cover your travel expenses. We will also cover lunch costs up to £5 a day for volunteers working 4+ hours or a full day 9am – 5pm. You will be supported by and report to a named staff member who will ensure your contribution is well managed. (You will be required to produce receipts for reimbursement of all expenses.)

The role will be base at the charity’s office in NW4.
