Masters Course Intern

Forum for the Future

 

Forum for the Future is recruiting a Masters course Intern to be based in London.  Forum runs a unique Leadership for Sustainable Development masters course which links in with their partnership work with leading organisations in business and the public sector.  They focus on key sectors including retail, the built environment, finance, transport, tourism, the public sector and cities.

 

The work of the intern will focus on the following areas:

Supporting the masters team in setting up the course systems in preparation for the next academic year and provide support during the first eight weeks of the course.

Working closely with the team to support every aspect of their work.

 

Job Summary

This position will provide support to the masters team.  Tasks are likely to include:

Setting up the online/social network for incoming students

Preparing and compiling online feedback surveys for the September sessions

Auditing the library and learning resources

Collating placement activities and student reports

Updating databases

Small research projects

Responsibilities

To support the Masters Course Administrator and Director in administrative aspects of the course

Other activities as may be reasonably required

For this role, they are looking for candidates with an interest in sustainable development, a commitment to the values and mission of Forum for the Future, good ICT skills with a confident approach, well organised, be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines, good written and verbal communication skills and be able to follow instructions and be self-motivating.

 

This internship is for a period of 3 months, 3 days a week, and is based in London.  Expected start date in 2nd August 2010.
