Our client is a leading health focussed charity with exciting new opportunities within their fundraising team. One of these posts is working specifically with their Major Supporters, generating income and further developing prospects.
The role:
1. Maximising donations from new and existing major supporters by developing effective relationships with them.
2. Identify new prospects to target through effective use of the database, recommendations from existing supporters and identification of appropriate targets from external sources eg newspaper articles, interviews etc.
3. Develop effective and creative proposals, tailored to the needs of individual supporters
4. Using a variety of research programmes and databases (including Raiser's Edge) to produce donor solicitation strategies which ensure the most value and engagement is developed with each supporter.
5. Monitor income against agreed targets and flag any issues to your line manager in good time, along with suggested remedial actions.
Skills Required:
A thorough understanding of the principals of fundraising, ideally in the specialism of major supporter fundraising.
An understanding of effective research techniques and how to analyse data.
Experience of working in a fundraising/marketing environment, ideally major supporter fundraising.
Experience of working to tight deadlines and prioritising work.
