
This leading cancer charity is recruiting for 2 x Major Giving Managers to work on a new appeal; the most ambitious in the charity's history and one of global significance. You will be responsible for raising income against target, identifying and initiating relationships with prospective donors, working with members of the campaign board and senior managers internally.
Main responsibilities within this role will include:
- To raise income with a focus on securing 6 and 7 figure donations from major donors by initiating and developing relationships with donors and the charity
- To support the senior board members in funding approaches
- To be responsible for developing relationships with high net worth individuals, raising significant income to meet agreed targets for the campaign
- Develop and implement solicitation and stewardship plans for a portfolio of donors and prospects, both in the UK and abroad
- To develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Proven and demonstrable experience of soliciting gifts at 6 figure level
- Proven experience of working effectively with senior volunteers
- Proven track record of major gift fundraising in the not for profit sector or similar transferable skills gained in the commercial sector
- Proven experience of building long term relationships with high level individual stakeholders
- Tenacity and a self motivated approach to work
- Exceptional listening skills and efficient written and oral communication skills including an inspiring and engaging communication style
