This leading health charity is recruiting for a Major Gifts Manager to develop, manage and grow the major gifts income stream from high value supporters, major donors and celebrities.
The main duties of the role will include;
- Lead on the development and implementation of a major gifts strategy to ensure the charity maximises all potential income from major gifts
- Oversee the work of the Partnerships Fundraising Executive and manage the development of all individual major gifts relationships ensuring objectives are met
- Budget management including setting, forecasting and analysis
- Build and manage an external portfolio of high net worth individuals who will give and assist you when recruiting new supporters from their own networks
- Ensure databases are accurate and maintained to optimise all opportunities
- Prepare plans for each major gifts relationship and ensure plan is delivered.
- Recognise the value of individual relationships ensuring they are managed effectively with appropriate and consistent engagement and stewardship
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- Experience working in a major gift fundraising role soliciting 5-6 figure gifts and managing, setting and forecasting budgets
- Proven ability to identify, cultivate and recruit new supporters and meet challenging income targets
- Account management skills with the ability to demonstrate relationships have been development to deliver maximum benefit
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of fundraising databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to a wide range of audiences
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the confidence to address people at all levels, both internally and externally, specifically high net worth individuals.
