We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Major Gifts Manager to join a leading UK health charity. Reporting to the Head of Trusts this is a newly created role within the charity and therefore a real opportunity to make the role your own. The key purpose of this role is to secure major gifts from trusts and individuals of high net-worth.
Line-managing one other person, your responsibilities include:
* Establishing, cultivating and managing relationships with major donor and trust prospects as a means of increasing their involvement with the charity.
* Managing the involvement of the charity's staff and volunteers in the development of relationships with high value individual donors.
* Creating and presenting compelling funding proposals.
* Researching and identifying new major donors.
* Making asks for significant gifts to support the work of the charity.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with demonstrable experience of major gift fundraising within the charity sector. The successful candidate will have a track record of successfully securing gifts from trusts or individual donors and will have excellent interpersonal, networking and negotiating skills.
